Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Musical Service, led by Cantor Rebecca Garfein and Rabbi Daniel Sherman. The MLK Community Shabbat Service will feature special music and multi-cultural choirs to remember the life and legacy of Dr. King. The evening will feature children’s choir *New Voices New Orleans*, along with *Shades of Praise Gospel Choir, Joyful & Spirit of New Orleans Choir, Progressive Baptist Praise Team*, and *NO FEAR* - afterschool youth music program. Also participating will be members of the *Klezmer All-Stars* and *Panorama Band*, under the musical direction of *Cantor Garfein*. In addition to the powerful and uplifting music, Director of Jewish Multicultural & Governmental Affairs Aaron Bloch and Reverand Dr. Johmyrin Johnson of The Progressive Baptist Church, will deliver remarks.
