Legends of the Dew Drop: Road to Rock & Roll is an immersive tribute to the legendary artists and groundbreaking sounds that transformed American music. Led by acclaimed pianist Jesse McBride, a protégé of Harold Battiste and educator at Tulane University, and featuring a band of New Orleans' finest musicians, this immersive show takes you on a musical journey through the evolution of Rhythm & Blues and Rock & Roll. With performances of hits from icons like Ray Charles, Little Richard, and Dave Bartholomew, this unforgettable experience celebrates the Dew Drop's role in shaping the New Orleans Sound—and the world of music. *Doors 7pm | Concert 8pm * The JCC 2025 Composer in Residence Concert Series is based on rapid, intense composition and collaboration. Over just five days, new JCC Music Director Brian Haas will combine with world-renowned guests to compose, rehearse, and premiere a collection of new compositions at the New Orleans JCC.   Upon arriving in New Orleans, our featured guest begins composing with Haas. As the week progresses, the two will be joined by band members to augment the ongoing compositional process. By Friday’s rehearsal, the entire band unites with a New Orleans rhythm section to bring this 75-minute composition to life. The week concludes with a Saturday night concert featuring the newly created works in an intimate setting. The inaugural series launches with multi-Grammy winner, New York City trumpeter and composer, Steven Bernstein.  The first performance of the New Orleans JCC Composer in Residence Series features Steven Bernstein (Composer in Residence, Trumpet), Skerik (Sax), Chris Combs (Guitar,) James Singleton (Bass), Tanner Gus (Drums) and Brian Haas (Piano).  Berstein has arranged for Lou Reed, Marianne Faithfull, Allen Toussaint, and Bill Frisell. He is the founder of multiple projects, including the Millennial Territory Orchestra and Butler-Bernstein Hot 9. His discography includes four albums in John Zorn's Radical Jewish Culture series and the celebrated "Viper's Drag" with pianist Henry Butler. Tickets $20 | All Ages
