Established by Shaka and Na’imah Zulu, Golden Feather is a location that offers to both tourists as well as locals the rich history and stories of the Mardi Gras Indians through the beauty and splendor of a gallery, gift shop, restaurant, and supply house. Also presented at this house of art are lectures and sewing demonstrations by Mardi Gras Indian Chief, Shaka Zulu.

Mardi Gras Indian Suits, framed art and traditional hand sewn pieces are showcased throughout the gallery culminating into a stunning exhibit of fine art. Hence bringing the people of New Orleans as well as others from all walks of life together at a formidable meeting place. One of the stunning features at Golden Feather is a charming restaurant featuring foods of Congo Square and soon, coffees and teas from around the world. The charm and beauty of the restaurant provides a comfortable atmosphere allowing people from around the world, along with our locals, to meet and make new friends.

Also coming soon to Golden Feather is a on stop showroom that would include all the merchandise needed to build a Mardi Gras Indian Suit. This location will cater to the Mardi Gras Indians in addition to the local Social Aid and Pleasure Clubs, Mardi Gras Krewes, and Performing Arts Companies.
