To some performers, having a legendary father might be daunting. Not so for Lena Prima, Louis Prima's youngest daughter. Born into show business and raised on the road with her famous dad, the singer/recording artist has earned her own stellar reputation around the country for her energetic and charismatic performances.

The Chicago Tribune says, "A standing ovation...Lena has the panache of her father."

Lena Prima has received numerous honors while performing throughout the U.S., including a best jazz song nomination from the Hollywood Music In Media Awards for her original composition “Silly In The Middle". She also has been hailed by the distinguished American Italian Cultural Roundtable of New York for continuing her father’s legacy and representing women in the field of jazz.

Lena, a proud resident of New Orleans, is also featured on Ingrid Lucia’s compilation CD of New Orleans female vocalists, “The New Orleans Nightingales”.

Lena is also an artist and jewelry designer. Her creations have benefited the National Italian American Foundation, The Caring Place of Las Vegas, the New Orleans Musician's Clinic, The Cancer Association of Greater New Orleans and New Orleans musicians in need. (Facebook)
