Laura D. Kelley

Laura D. Kelley was born in New York City but spent her childhood in Mexico; her teen years in Texas, Alaska and the US Virgin Islands; and her twenties in Europe and California. She has lived in New Orleans since relocating to complete her Ph.D, and her primary research focus for the last 20 years has been the Irish in New Orleans. She designed and directed several grant-supported research projects about the Irish Channel, St. Alphonsus Parish and St. Patrick's Cemeteries. She teaches at Tulane University.
