Welcome to Maison de Macarty, a New Orleans Bed & Breakfast, located in the 1860s Victorian Home Bywater National Historic District; just five minutes from the sights, sounds and excitement of the French Quarter. Bywater is a bohemian district unique to New Orleans composed of blue collar working class families, young professionals, artists, and musicians.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, our 1860s Victorian home features six guest rooms in the main house, two private cottages, all with ensuite bath facilities, and is a comfortable home away from home for your New Orleans adventure.
Enjoy our breakfast and then either choose to wile away the hours by swimming in our mineral water swimming pool, catch some rays on our huge sun deck, have a cocktail at the Cabana Bar or enjoy a good book under the shade of the Crepe Myrtle trees in our private tropical courtyard. Then venture out into the city to people watch in Jackson Square, explore the architectural richness of Bywater and Fauborg Marigny, experience our love of food and music, or marvel at the uniqueness and history of our cemeteries.
After a day experiencing the old world charm that is New Orleans, return to the gracious hospitality and restful home away from home of Maison de Macarty to refresh, rejuvenate, have a cocktail or glass of wine at our Cabana Bar, snack on some fresh baked cookies, and get ready to do it all again.
