The Alombrados Oasis of Ordo Templi Orientis is a Thelemic initiatory fraternity located in the valley of New Orleans. We are dedicated to the high purpose of securing the Liberty of the Indvidual and his or her advancement in Light, Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, and Power through Beauty, Courage, and Wit, on the Foundation of Universal Brotherhood.
Our mission is to effect and promote the doctrines and practices of the philosophical and religious system known as Thelema, with particular emphasis on cultivating the ideals of individual liberty, self-discipline, self-knowledge, and universal brotherhood. To this end, we conduct sacramental and initiatory rites, offer guidance and instruction to our members, organize social events, and engage in educational and community service activities.
Alombrados has come a long way. Just over five years ago, we were a modest Camp in formation, gathered in cafes to study The Law is for All. We have since grown to the Oasis level, performed dozens of initiations from Minerval to K.E.W. , organized an EC meeting, hosted seminars by distinguished, high level initiates from US and international bodies, and established a permanent temple with a full complement of equipment.
