Started in 2002 by a marriage between Unisex Illusions and the Hardly Boys, The Carnival Kings popped into existence when the Bourbon Pub came calling for a Tuesday night show. The show sought to bring kings and queens together, and "The Carnival Kings Drag King and Variety Show" was born.
Now a king-run venture, the weekly "Tuesday at midnight" show boasts the longest running, most successful drag king show in New Orleans, and the state of Louisiana.
