George Schmidt’s Gallery & Studio are located at 626 Julia Street. He has been living and working in historic Julia Row between St Charles and Camp Streets for more than 35 years. Located in an 1832 row house in the American Sector,one of thirteen of the oldest row houses in New Orleans, his offering of a collection of his paintings, drawings and prints, executed on the premises, epitomise the best in cultural tourism and is an experience not to be missed. Remember George Schmidt Gallery is not in the Warehouse District, but in the Lafayette Square District. Come meet the artist himself. Proper attire required. Opening hours are Tuesday through Saturday 12:30 to 4:30P.M. Visa, MasterCard and Discover accepted. There is no tax on fine art.
