Swing, dance,
listen, chill, and celebrate jazz every Sunday afternoon through
November 21 at Cafe Brazil, 2100 Chartres Street in the Marigny
Triangle below the French Quarter. What began as one concert ten
years ago has grown into an 8-week series featuring the best of
New Orleans' Jazz Bands. The Jazz Centennial Celebration and a
range of other sponsors stage the free "soirees" which draw neighborhood
jazz lovers, families and dancers from across the city helping
to revive the old neighborhood dance traditions. This is the kind
of fun you can only find in New Orleans. There is no admission
charge for the concert/dances which are held from 4-7 p.m. All
ages are welcome.
